Volunteer  & Fundraising Opportunities 

Where would you like to help?

• Fund Raising: Could you help with a fundraiser? Could you organize one fundraiser and coordinate it? We have numerous fundraisers planned you don’t have to come up with anything new unless you want to. Would you like to be part of a fundraising team?

• Judging: We need someone to over see the judges, coordinate and schedule judges for each event and provide judges with a schedule. We also need judges for the debate and speech tournaments. Training will be provided; we won’t leave you in the dark. This is an area we could really use your help with. When we are unable to provide judges we have to dip into our funds and cover the cost paying for judges. This took a large chunk or our money last year.

• Team Travel: We need people willing to help with travel arrangements. This would include hotel accommodations, meals, transportation, tournament meals and snacks etc…

• Team Shirts: We need someone to oversee the ordering and distribution of team shirts.

• Squad Nights: We need people willing to come on squad night (Tuesdays from 3:00-6:00 or part of it) and hang out. We need an adult in each room while students are working on computers. This is a school policy – students can’t be on computers without an adult in the room. More than one room is used on squad night and this makes it really hard for Mrs. Estey-Rohm to monitor two rooms. We also like to run practice meets on Squad night and would love to have parents come in and judge. Great practice for those judging events.

• Newsletter: We would love to send home a newsletter once a month. It will have student input and all that’s happening with debate. We need someone willing to input and format it all. We could use another person willing to collect all the information.
